Every day, industries generate organic waste streams that are often underused, undervalued, or discarded altogether. At the same time, the world continues to rely on conventional plastics that are difficult to recycle, slow to break down, and deeply connected to fossil resources. We saw an opportunity to connect these two challenges and build a solution rooted in circularity.

 

Launch Bioindustries is reimagining the future of materials by transforming organic waste into sustainable bioplastics. We use biotechnology to turn underutilized waste streams into high-value PHA, a biodegradable alternative to conventional plastics with a wide range of applications. By using waste as a starting point, we aim to create materials that are not only functional and scalable, but also better aligned with the future our planet needs.

 

Our work sits at the intersection of science, sustainability, and industry. Through fermentation, bioprocessing, and circular design, we are working to turn overlooked resources into high-value materials that can help reduce waste, lower environmental impact, and support a shift away from petroleum-based plastics toward more responsible packaging solutions.
